This Cookie Policy explains how TietAI OÜ (“TietAI”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on tiet.ai. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
At a glance
- We use the cookies and similar technologies needed to run the site, plus privacy-preserving analytics where appropriate.
- We do not use third-party advertising cookies and we do not sell or share personal data with unrelated third parties for their marketing.
- You can manage non-essential cookies at any time via our cookie settings and withdraw consent as easily as you gave it.
1) What are cookies and “similar technologies”?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They can be set by the site you visit (first-party) or by another domain (third-party). “Similar technologies” include local storage, session storage, pixels/beacons, SDKs, and device identifiers that store or access information on your device.
2) Why we use them
- Strictly necessary: security, load balancing, consent preferences, authentication.
- Functional: remembering settings or choices you make.
- Analytics: understanding site performance and improving our services using privacy-respecting methods.
We do not use cookies for interest-based advertising or cross-site tracking.
3) Legal basis and consent
Under EU rules, storing or accessing non-essential cookies requires your prior consent. Consent must be freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous, and you must be able to refuse as easily as accept. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent.
We present a consent banner with clear “Accept”, “Reject” (or “Accept essential only”), and “Manage preferences” options. You can change your choices at any time (see Section 7).
4) Our commitment on third parties
We do not collect personal data in order to transfer it to unrelated third parties for their own advertising, profiling, or resale. We do not deploy third-party advertising cookies. Where we use service providers (e.g., security/CDN or strictly-necessary infrastructure), they act only under our instructions and may not use data for their own purposes.
5) Types of cookies we use
A. Strictly necessary (no consent needed): essential to provide the site and services (e.g., load balancing, bot mitigation, session management, cookie-consent storage). Blocking these may break the site.
B. Functional (consent required if not essential): help remember user choices (e.g., UI preferences).
C. Analytics (consent required unless exempt under local guidance): used to measure usage and improve performance. Where feasible we favor first-party or privacy-preserving analytics.
6) First-party vs third-party; retention
First-party cookies are set by tiet.ai. Third-party cookies are set by another domain; we avoid these except where technically essential and subject to processor terms. Session cookies expire when you close your browser; persistent cookies last longer but are set with proportionate durations.
7) How you can manage or withdraw consent
- Use our on-site Cookie Settings to change your choices or withdraw consent at any time.
- You can also manage cookies in your browser (e.g., block, delete). Browser settings may not cover all technologies, so please also use our on-site controls.
If you withdraw consent, we stop setting/using the affected cookies from that point forward (previous collection remains lawful up to withdrawal).
8) Global Privacy Control (GPC) and “Do Not Track”
GPC is a browser signal that communicates user preferences about data sale/sharing. While not universally mandated in the EU, we are evaluating support alongside our consent tools. Your on-site cookie choices are the primary mechanism we honor for EU consent.
9) Current cookies and similar technologies
We aim to minimize cookies. The exact cookies in use may change as we improve our services. We keep an up-to-date list on this page or in the cookie banner’s “Details” panel, including: name, provider, purpose, category, duration, and whether it is first-party or third-party.
10) Third-party content and integrations
If we embed content or connect to third-party services (e.g., maps, video, single sign-on), those parties may place their own cookies. We avoid such integrations where possible; where essential, we block them until you opt in and require vendors to act as processors without their own reuse of data.
11) Enforcement and why compliance matters
EU regulators actively enforce cookie consent rules. Our approach—granular opt-in, equal ease to refuse/accept, and no advertising cookies—aligns with current regulatory expectations.
12) Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in technologies, our practices, or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where required, re-prompt for consent.
