These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the tiet.ai website, platform, APIs, documentation, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. What these Terms cover
These Terms apply to: (a) the public website at www.tiet.ai and its subdomains (the “Site”); (b) any apps, dashboards, connectors, APIs/SDKs, models, agentic tools, or other features we make available (the “Services”); and (c) any content generated by or through the Services (“AI Output”).

3. Acceptance of these Terms
By browsing the Site, creating an account, using our APIs, or otherwise accessing the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and have authority to bind your organization (if applicable).
4. Other documents that also apply
Your use of the Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you (or your organization) have a signed order form, MSA, DPA, or other agreement with us, that agreement governs to the extent of any conflict.
5. Intended users and age
The Services are designed for professional/institutional healthcare and life-sciences use (e.g., providers, payors, labs, digital health companies, research organizations). The Site is not intended for children under 16 years old. Do not use the Services if you are not legally able to do so under applicable law.
6. Changes to the Services
We may add, change, or remove features; and we may suspend or restrict access for maintenance, security, legal, or misuse reasons. We do not guarantee the Services will be available at all times or error-free.
7. Accounts and security
Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and notify us of any suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for all activity under your account and API keys. We may suspend or terminate accounts for misuse or inaccuracy.
8. Our Services and AI Output
TietAI provides secure integration and AI infrastructure for healthcare data connectivity, normalization, governance, analytics, and agentic workflows. AI Output may be incomplete, outdated, or contextually incorrect. You must independently review and validate all AI Output before using it in clinical, regulatory, billing, legal, safety-critical, or patient-facing contexts. The Services do not provide medical advice or emergency care, and no doctor–patient relationship is created with TietAI.
9. Your Content and Customer Data
“Customer Data” means any data, files, prompts, instructions, records, PHI/ePHI, personal data, or other materials you send to or through the Services. Except for the limited rights you grant below, you (or your organization) retain ownership of Customer Data.
You grant TietAI OÜ a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, process, transmit, transform, enrich, analyze, and otherwise use Customer Data solely to: (a) provide, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the Services; (b) meet legal and regulatory obligations; and (c) improve core platform capabilities (e.g., connectors, mapping, de-identification, analytics, reliability), under strict technical and organizational controls.
Subject to law, we assign to you our rights in AI Output we generate for you to the extent legally transferable. You are responsible for your use of AI Output, including ensuring it is lawful, accurate, and appropriate for your context.
10. Privacy, data protection, and confidentiality
We do not collect personal data in order to transfer it to unrelated third parties for their own advertising, profiling, resale, or marketing. We do not sell Customer Data or provide it to data brokers. Where we use subprocessors (e.g., secure cloud or managed security), they act only under our instructions to deliver the Services, with appropriate data processing and confidentiality terms.
We design and operate for compliance with applicable data protection frameworks (e.g., GDPR, and where relevant HIPAA), applying controls such as encryption, role-based access, and audit logging. Lawful transfer mechanisms (e.g., SCCs or adequacy) are used where data moves across borders. See our Privacy Policy for details and how to exercise your rights.
11. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) break the law or violate third-party rights; (b) upload unlawful, harmful, or malicious content; (c) interfere with security or integrity of the Services; (d) misrepresent your identity or data; or (e) use the Services/AI Output for emergency or time-critical clinical decisions, or present AI Output as final clinical judgment without qualified human review.
12. Intellectual Property
The Site/Services (including text, design, documentation, screenshots, logos, and trademarks) are owned by TietAI OÜ or its licensors and are protected by law. You may view and make reasonable internal copies of public pages for evaluation. Do not remove proprietary notices, resell, sublicense, or republish substantial portions without written permission. “TietAI” and related marks are trademarks of TietAI OÜ; others’ marks belong to their owners.
13. Fees, subscriptions, and trials
Paid features may be subscription-based or usage-based. Unless otherwise stated in a signed order, subscriptions renew automatically; you authorize charges to the payment method on file until you cancel. Pricing may change for future cycles with reasonable notice.
14. Availability, suspension, and termination
We aim for robust security and high availability but do not guarantee uptime or error-free operation. We may suspend, throttle, or terminate access to protect platform security, comply with law, or address misuse. If you have a commercial agreement, its termination and data return/deletion terms apply.
15. Third-party services, integrations, and links
The Services may integrate with third-party systems (e.g., EHRs, labs, billing platforms, cloud services, auth providers). Third-party terms and privacy notices may apply. We do not control and are not responsible for those services; dealings are solely between you and the third party.
16. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site, Services, and AI Output are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory (including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement). You must validate and apply professional judgment before relying on AI Output.
17. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) TietAI OÜ and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; and (b) our total cumulative liability arising from or related to the Services will not exceed the greater of EUR 100 or the amounts you paid us for the relevant Service in the 12 months before the event.
18. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TietAI OÜ from third-party claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Services/AI Output, your breach of these Terms or law, your violation of third-party rights, or Customer Data you provide.
19. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought exclusively in the competent courts of Estonia, unless a different venue is agreed in a signed contract with you.
20. Export and regulatory compliance
You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including healthcare privacy/security, data residency/export, sanctions, embargoes, and export controls. You may not use the Services in a way that would cause TietAI to violate applicable EU, Estonian, U.S., or other export restrictions.
21. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version here with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after an update means you accept the changes. If you object to changes, stop using the Services.
